Project Title: Design, synthesis and evaluation of novel Thiochromene analogs as potential anti-leishmanial agents
Funding Agency: SCIENCE & ENGINEERING RESEARCH BOARD (SERB)
Project Tenure: 28 Months
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. S. Murugesan, Department of Pharmacy (PI- BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus); Dr. K V G Chandra Sekhar, Department of Chemistry (Co-PI, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.
Job Description: Experience in molecular modeling, Organic synthesis, characterization using various analytical techniques and biological evaluation of NCEs
Qualification: Candidates with M. Pharm / M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmaceutical / Medicinal Chemistry or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60 % marks can apply. Candidates with prior research experience in organic synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry with decent publications in peer reviewed journals will be given preference.
Desirable: GPAT qualified Upper
Age Limit: Age not exceeding 35 years as of the date of the interview.
Fellowship: 37,000 per month for GPAT-qualified candidates.
Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms.
