NIPER Ahmedabad was initiated with three specializations Biotechnology, Natural Products and Pharmaceutics and over the period of time three more specializations Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology and Toxicology were added in 2010. Subsequently in 2011, to cater the needs of Medical device industry in India, another feather was added to the cap of NIPER Ahmedabad in the form of specialization in Medical Devices.

Applications are invited from the eligible and suitable Indian nationals for the position of Project Research Scientist-I in ICMR funded project entitled “3D-printed injectable- microcapsules for triple punch cure of triple-negative breast cancer by delivering anti miRNA, an anticancer drug, and opto-laser induced photothermal therapy” on purely contractual basis tenable at Department of Pharmaceutics, NIPER- Ahmedabad. Tenure of the position is will be co-terminus with the project.

Project Title : 3D-printed injectable-microcapsules for triple punch cure of triple- negative breast cancer by delivering anti miRNA, an anticancer drug, and opto-laser induced photothermal therapy
Emoluments : Rs. 56,000/- + HRA (15,120/-) = Rs. 71, 120/- initial appointment will be for one year which may be further extended to three years subjected to the project duration and performance. The positions will co-terminate with the project.
Qualification Essential Qualification : The candidate must have first class in post graduate degree with Ph.D in Pharmaceutics/ Pharmacology/ Medical Devices/ Biotechnology/ Biomedical Engineering/ Bioengineering/ Life Sciences/ Materials science/ or relevant stream
Desirable Essential Qualification : Candidates with independent work experience in following : Biopolymer synthesis, Bioconjugation, Formulation development and characterization, Molecular biology techniques, Experience in handling small animals (Rat/ Mouse), Establishment of xenograft tumor mouse model, Evaluation of gene silencing and anticancer activity, Evaluation of organ toxicity.
Age Limit : Not more than 35 years on the date of 26-05-2024
