Applications are invited for post of Deputy Director at Directorate of Forensic Science services

The Directorate of Forensic Science services (DFSS) was created in the year 2002 by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, after bifurcation from BPR&D, based on the recommendations of National Human Rights Commission and Padmanabhaiah Committee on Police Reforms. The Gazette notification to this effect was issued by MHA vide its Order no. 25011/41/2001-GPA.II/PM-II on December 31, 2002. It is headed by Director-cum-Chief Forensic Scientist. It has six Central Forensic Science Laboratories under its control located at Chandigarh, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Guwahati and Bhopal.

Post : Deputy Director (Quality Assurance & Quality Control)

Application for appointment to the post of Deputy Director (Quality Assurance & Quality Control) (Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in Level - 12 of Pay Matrix on Deputation including Short Term Contract basis in the Directorate of Forensic Science Services, New Delhi.

Scale of Pay : Level - 12 of Pay Matrix (Grade Pay - Rs.7600/-).
Eligibility : Officer under the Central/State Government or Union Territories or
Universities or recognized research institutions or public sector undertaking or statutory or autonomous organization:
a) i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department;
or
ii) with five years regular service in posts in Level - 11 (Rs. 67700- 208700) of the Pay Matrix; and
b) Possessing the essential qualification and experience as under: -


(i) Master degree in Physics or Applied Physics or Biophysics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Forensic Science or Botany or Zoology or Micro Biology or Chemistry or Biotechnology or Bio Chemistry or Physical Anthropology or Genetics or Pharmacology or Pharmacy or Psychology or Criminology or Computer Science or Electronics or Human Genetics
OR
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology in Biotechnology or Civil or Electrical or Mechanical or Electronics or Telecommunications or Computer Science or Instrumentation or Computer Science and Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering or Information Technology or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
(ii) Ten years experience of research in Forensic Laboratory / Institution under Central/ State or Union Territory out of which eight years of experience in accredited laboratory/ institution for management of quality assurance programme accredited by Quality Council of India, Standardization Testing & Quality Certification, National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, National Assessment and Accreditation Council, National Agriculture Education Accreditation Board, Skill Management and Accreditation of Training, Bureau of Indian Standards.

Note 1 :- Period of Deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/ Department of Central/ State Government shall ordinarily not to exceed four years. 


Note 2 :- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall be, not exceeding fifty six years, as on the closing date of receipts of application.
