Post : Sr Bioinformatics Scientist (2 positions)
Your Role
As a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist; You will actively support our ongoing projects that include development, validation and implementation of data analytics, development of tools/ databases and research publications.
Functional / Technical Skills
• 3+ years of experience in Genomics and Bioinformatics
• Proficiency in a programming language - Python/Perl and R is a must
• Excellent understanding of various Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data from sequencing platforms such as lllumina, PacBio, Ion torrent, 10X and others is required
• Skilled at NGS data analytics including variant calling, annotation, interpretation
• Prior experience with Databases - gnomAD, ExAC, UKBiobank, TopMed, UCSC, 1000 Genomes and others; database management systems - mySQL/ORACLE, MongoDb is highly desirable
• Prior experience with cloud platforms / HPC is highly desirable
• A good track record in peer-reviewed journals is a plus
• A team player with Intellect and agility to deliver assigned tasks
Candidate Profile
PhD / Post-doc/ M.Sc./ M.Tech in a scientific discipline related to the responsibilities for this position (Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Informatics, Biology, Genomics)
