Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, formerly Nizams Orthopaedic Hospital, is a public hospital located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is an Institute under State Legislature Act under the Act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislature. It has campuses in Punjagutta and Bibinagar.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates in the prescribed format for the temporary posts mentioned below in the DBT-funded research project titled “Mission Program on Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders” under the Department of Medical Genetics, NIMS.
Project Associate -I
No. of posts : One
Tenure of the post : Five years The performance will be reviewed at the end of each year and the appointment will be renewed for the subsequent year based on satisfactory performance, for a maximum of 5 years. The position is co-terminus with the project.
Salary : Consolidated pay of Rs.38,440/- per month
Essential qualifications and experience: MSc (in Life Sciences)
Desirable qualifications and experience : At least 1 year post- MSc work experience in a genetics lab with practical laboratory experience of genetic techniques including DNA extraction, PCR and Sanger sequence analysis
Age limit : 35 years as on 30/4/2023
Senior Project Associate
No. of posts : One
Tenure of the post : Five years The performance will be reviewed at the end of each year and the appointment will be renewed for the subsequent year based on satisfactory performance, for a maximum of 5 years. The position is co-terminus with the project.
Salary : Consolidated pay of Rs.52,080/- per month
Essential qualifications and experience : PhD (in Human Genetics/ Medical Genetics)
Desirable qualifications and experience : At least 1 year post- PhD research experience or work experience in a genetics lab, with practical laboratory experience of genetic techniques including karyotyping, DNA extraction, PCR and Sanger sequencing, and experience of bioinformatics analysis.
Age limit : 40 years as on 30/4/2023
