Siddha Central Research Institute (SCRI) is identified as a potential centre of excellence for clinical research. This Institute is located in the campus of Anna Government Hospital of Indian systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy at Arumbakkam, Chennai. Central Research Institute for Siddha was established in the year 1971. It has all the facilities for preclinical and clinical studies. Pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, pharmacology, literary research, clinical research, Biochemistry, clinical pathology and pharmacy are the various departments functioning under Siddha Central Research Institute.
Post : Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacology)
Name of the IMR project : “Safety and Anti-hypertensive effect of VAAS-21 tablet in rats”
Essential qualification : M.Pharm (Pharmacology) from a recognized University with 2 years research experience. The candidate should have a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the qualifying degree.
Desirable : Experience with preclinical studies. A. Track record of high-quality research with high impact research papers.
Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per the Government rules
Pay : Rs.35,000/- + 24 % HRA p.m. (Consolidated)
Place of Posting : SCRI, Chennai
Duration : 3 years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier
Instructions to the candidates
1. The above position is purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. There is no provision for re-employment after termination of project. The selected candidate will not have any right for claiming pay scale or absorption against any regular post being vacant on a later date at this institute/council.
2. Candidates attending the interview should bring the original educational qualification, experience certificates and publications etc. Candidates already working should produce “No Objection Certificate” in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
