NIPER Ahmedabad was initiated with three specializations Biotechnology, Natural Products and Pharmaceutics and over the period of time three more specialisations Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology and Toxicology were added in 2010. Subsequently in 2011, to cater the needs of Medical device industry in India, another feather was added to the cap of NIPER Ahmedabad in the form of specialisation in Medical Devices.

Applications are invited for open interview from eligible candidates for filling up the following temporary position for a sponsored project from the NESTLE-INDIA undertaken at NIPER- Ahmedabad. The position is temporary, and the offer will be initially for One Year that can be extended further based on the performance and will be co-terminus with the project. The requisite qualification & experience etc., are given below.
Project : BIOSENSOR FOR DETECTION OF SMALL MOLECULES
Salary : Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated) Increments can be provided based on relevant work experience, as per NIPER-A management discretion.
Qualification : PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Material Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Medical Devices, Nanotechnology and/or relevant disciplines. Note: Experience in development electrochemical sensors or electrochemistry will be given added preference.
Job Profile
The candidate should showcase:
a) Experience in development of electrochemical biosensors.
b) Proficiency in analytical techniques.
c) Proficiency in independent handling of electrochemical workstation (Potentiostat - I-V, CV, DPV, EIS, I-t techniques).
d) Prior knowledge or experience in immunoassays & in synthesizing conducting nanocomposites.
e) Writing of research articles, patents, and other related documents
