Institute of Nano Science and Technology Mohali provides an opportunity to exceptionally good undergraduate students to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of INST faculty. The students from different institutions including IITs, NITs, IISERs, Central Universities as well as several State Universities across the country have been carrying out their research internships at INST.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Associate-I in the research project funded by ‘DBT’, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Project : Understanding the Forces Involved in the Packing of Enzymes Inside the Bacterial Microcompartments for the Development of Novel Encapsulated Bio-Systems
Principal Investigator : Dr. Sharmistha Sinha, Scientist-E
Qualifications:
Essential : M.S(Pharm.) / M.Pharm / M.Tech. / M.Sc / M.V.Sc Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (preferable specialization in pharmaceutics or Pharmacology) / Biological Science/Life Sciences / Biotechnology with NET / GATE / GPAT qualification.
Desirable : Experience in nano-formulations, Cell culture studies, Biophysical Chemistry,
Age limit : The upper age limit shall be 35 years as on 01.06.2020, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes/, Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and female applicants whereas 3 years in case of OBCs (Non-creamy layer candidates).
Salary : Rs. 31,000/- + 8% HRA (pm)
Project duration : Initially for one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate.
General Terms and Conditions:
• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of interview.
