National AIDS Research Institute [NARI] was established in October 1992 in Bhosari, Pune on a seven acre plot. The Institute has progressively expanded its activities in various aspects of research on HIV and AIDS through infra-structural development, capacity building & research programmes. The present infrastructure includes the Institute housed in a 28024 sq. mtr space, residential accomadation for the staff, a power plant to ensure uninterrupted power supply and an incinerator for safe disposal of bio-waste.
Following position under “To study feasibility of Oral TDF containing PrEP, administered, once daily orally to men having sex with men (MSM) and transgender individuals (TGW) in India” project. This is purely temporary for the project duration 12 months.
Pharmacist
Age : 30 years
Essential Qualification : Graduate in Pharmacy and one year experience of clinical research
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 31,000/-
Job Responsibility : Dispensing of PrEP (Study drugs) to MSM and TG population. Acquisition, storage, transfer and return of study drugs .Inventory of study drugs, Temperature monitoring. Adherence counseling and calculations. Day to day pharmacy related activities.
Clinician (Scientist B medical)
Age : 35 years
Essential Qualification : MBBS Degree with two years Research / teaching experience OR MD in PSM from a recognized university Desirable: MD/ Diploma in Obs/ Gynecology
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 68875/-
Job Responsibility : Screening and enrollment of participant, investigation and sample collection. Supporting community mobilization program. Management and reporting of AE/SAE and regular follow-ups of study participants.
Multi Tasking Staff (Field)
Age : 28 years
Essential Qualification : High School or equivalent
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 15,800/-
Job Responsibility : Recruitment of participants, Community mobilization support. Liasoning with CBOs/ NGOs, organizing meetings scheduling meetings, home visit for loss to follow-ups, counseling.
SC/ST/PH and women are exempted from payment of application fee. Candidates belonging to OBC category should produce Non-creamy layer certificate from the competent authority empowered to issue such certificate at the time of walk-in-personal interview. Age and experience is relax able in deserving cases.
