Trent University invites applications for a twelve month limited-term appointment in the field of organic chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor, subject to budgetary approval.
The position will start August 15, 2019. A PhD degree in chemistry is required and demonstrated organic chemistry teaching experience is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will teach six one-semester courses at the undergraduate level in chemistry. These courses may include, but are not limited to, Introductory Organic at the second year level, Introductory Chemistry I at the first year level, Advanced Synthetic Organic at the third year level, Applications of NMR spectroscopy and Mass Spectrometry at the fourth year level. Most teaching will take place in the Fall and Winter semesters, however, Summer semester teaching may be required.
