The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the new state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to function as a national centre for treatment, research and education in cancer. TMC is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860) and the Bombay Public Trust Act (1950). Its Governing Council is headed by the Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission, Government of India.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Title of the Project : Non-invasive mutation analysis from circulating tumor DNA in lung cancer patients
Funding Agency : DBT A/c. No. 3717
Duration of the Project : One year from the date of appointment.Likely to be extended.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry from a recognized university and with NET/ GATE/ GPAT/ JEST/ JGEEBILS qualification or Post Graduate degree in professional course are eligible. Candidates with prior knowledge of different Molecular Biology techniques are preferred.
*One year M.Sc. degree course will not be considered.
Selected candidate will have to join at the earliest.
Salary: Rs.32,500/- (Rs.25000/- + 30% HRA per month)
The work progress of the candidate will be monitored and extension after 6 months will depend on satisfactory progress of the work.

No T.A./D.A. will be admissible for attending the interview. All outstation candidates have to make their own arrangement for accommodation/ stay in Navi Mumbai.
At the time of Interview the candidate should bring original certificates along with CV with contact details of 2 referees and submit the photocopies (attested) of the certificates, with a recent passport size photograph.
