The Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology-IMMT, (formerly Regional Research Laboratory, Bhubaneswar) was setup as a premier establishment of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi in 1964 in the State of Odisha, in eastern India. Job Responsibility:
To assist the Medical Officers in Dispensary, dispensing of medicine & maintaining stock record, health cards, procurement of medicine, attend patients during & beyond office hours. To prick injection & I.V. drops to the patients & other related works and any other Dispensary work
Qualification:
SSC/10th standard with science subjects with 55% marks plus two years duration Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and should be registered with the State Pharmacy Coun cil under the provisions of Pharmacy Act 1948.
DQ - Candidates having two years experience in the field of job requirement shall be preferred.
Age relaxation will be as per rules and for the post of Pharmacist will be as per Hon’ble CAT, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack order dated 25.02.1999 passed in OA No. 412 of 1995
General Information and Conditions: -
1. Benefits under Council Service:
a . These posts carry usu al allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowances (TA) etc. as admissible to the central government employees stationed at Bhubaneswar and as made applicable to CSIR. Council employees are also eligible for accommodation of their entitled type as per CSIR allotment rules depending on a vailability in which case HRA will not be admissible.
b. In addition to the emoluments indicated against the post, benefits such as New Pension Scheme, reimbursement of Medical Expenses, Leave Travel Concession, Conveyance advance and House Building Advance are available as per rules of CSIR.
c. Career advancement under Assessment Promotion scheme, as applicable, for Technical & Support staff.
2. Relaxations:
a.The cut-off date for determining the age limit/ experience/ qualifications shall be the last date of receipt of application.
b . The upper age limit is however, relaxable as per Government orders in force only in those cases where the posts are reserved, on production of relevant certificate in the prescribed format signed by the specified authority at the time of interview.
c . Upper age limit may be relaxable upto 5 years for regular employees working in CSIR Laboratories/Institutes, Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies and Public Sector Undertaking as per Govt. of India / CSIR orders as applicable to the post(s).
d. Relaxation in upper age limit for physically handicapped, ex- servicemen and certain other categories will be as per rules.
e. PWD candidates are required to produce the certificate in the prescribed format in original signed by the specified authority at the time of interview.
f. Relaxation in age limit, educational qualification and / or experience in cases of exceptionally meritorious candidates would be allowed with the prior approval of Director General, CSIR as per CSIR instructions as amended from time to time.
g. Relaxation of five years will also be permissible to those who had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1-1-1980 to 31-12-1989 subject to production of relevant certificate from concerned authority and other specified category as prescribed by CSIR /Govt. of India instructions on this matter.

3. Other Conditions :
a. The applicant must be a citizen of India. The initial appointment will be in CSIR - IMMT. The appointees are liable to be transferred to any of the Labs/Institutes of CSIR anywhere in India.
b . All applicants must fulfill the essential requirements of the post and other conditions as stipulated in the advertisement. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualification s and experience as laid down for various posts. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained. The prescribed essential qualifications and experience are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
c. The application should be accompanied by self attested copies of the relevant educational qualification, experience. The prescribed qualifications should have been obtained through recognized Universities/ Institutions, etc.
d. In respect of equivalent clause in essential qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification as equivalent qualification as per the requirement of advertisement, then the candidate is required to produce order/letter in this regard, indicating the authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated otherwise the a pplication is liable to be rejected. However, equivalent qualification will be regulated as per the list of qualifications as recognized by CSIR only.
e. In case of universities/institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their university/institute.
f. Candidate must ensure that he/she possesses educational qualification/experience in the relevant area as required in the category/post, for which he/she is applying, on the last date of receipt of application.
g. If any document/certificate furnished is in a language other than Hindi or English, a transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted officer or notary is to be submitted.
h. Persons with disabilities (PWD) fulfilling the eligibility conditions prescribed under Govt. of India instructions are encouraged to apply.
i. The above post will be governed by the New Pension Scheme applicable w.e.f. 01.01.2004 as notified by the Government of India and adopted by CSIR vide their letter No.17/68/2001- E.II dated 23.12.2003 and other instructions issued on the subject.
j. Only outstation candidates called and found eligible for interview will be paid to and fro single second class rail fare from the actual place of undertaking the journey or from the normal place of their residence whichever is nearer to Bhubaneswar on production of Rail Ticket /Bus ticket or any other proof of journey.
k. Any discrepancy found between the information given in application and as evident in original documents will make the candidate ineligible for appearing in interview. Such candidate will not be paid any fare.
l. The number of vacancies indicated is provisional and may vary at the time of selection.
m. The decision of the CSIR - IMMT / CSIR in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection and conduct of examination/interview will be final and binding on the candidates.
4. Mode of selection:
a. Mere fulfillment of educational qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short - listing the candidates as may be decided by CSIR - IMMT. The decision of CSIR - IMMT in this regard is final and binding.
b. Higher initial pay could be considered for exceptionally meritorious candidates as admissible under the rules.
HOW TO APPLY :
a. Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed format (application and synopsis) downloaded from CSIR - IMMT website or neatly typed on A4 size paper on one side as per the format available on the website immt.res.in

Applications completed in all respects enclosing attested copies of certificates & mark sheets of all semesters / years / aggregate, testimonials in support of age [SSC/10 th Class] , educational qualifications, experience, community/PWD, recent passport size photograph signed along with non–refundable application fee of Rs 100/ - (SC/ST/ PH/Women/CSIR emp loyees are exempt from payment of application fee) in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank valid for a period of three months in favour of “Director, CSIR - Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology” payable at the State Bank of India, RRL Campus Branch (Branch Code - 7499), Bhubaneswar , should be sent in an envelope superscribed ”APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF_________________ , Post code__________ , Advt. No. _________ ” by post to The Administrative Officer, CSIR - Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar - 751013 (Odisha) on or before the last date. The last date given below will be the same for the candidates belonging to far-flung areas .
c . The following details must be filled up on the back side of Demand Draft (i) Candidate’s Name and (ii) Post code Applied for.
d . Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will not be refunded on any count nor can it be held in reserve for any other recruitment or selection process.
e. Applications from employees of Government Departments, Autonomous bodies, Public Sector Undertakings and Government Funded Research Agencies will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel, certified by the employer that the applicant, if selected will be relieved within one month of the receipt of the appointment orders. Vigilance clearance should also be recorded. However, advance copy of the application may be submitted before the closing date. f . Candidates should specifically note that applications received after the closing date for any reason whatsoever (such as envelopes wrongly addressed, delivered elsewhere, postal delay, received after the last date, etc.) will be summarily rejected. Any enclosure received separately subsequent to the receipt of the application cannot be connected therewith. No representation in this regard will be entertained. Furnishing of false, incorrect, wrong information will be a disqualification.
g . Incomplete applications (i.e. without photograph, unsigned and without application fee, if applicable, not supported by copies of certificates, without testimonials, etc.) will not be entertained and is liable to be summarily rejected.
h. The details of short - listed candidates to be called for interview, date of interview, change of date, selection result, cancellation of the recruitment, corrigendum/addendum to advertisement, extension of the last date for receipt of applications etc. will be notified on CSIR - IMMT website.
