Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/ G&TP / Dr. H. S. Ginwal
Project Title: Population genetic analysis of Himalayan Banj Oak (Quercus leucotrichophora) forests and its pertinence to genetic conservation.
Qualification
Essential Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Genetics/Forestry specialization in Forest Genetics with good working knowledge in the area of DNA Markers. Two years of work experience in the Molecular Markers after post graduation is essential.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/G&TP PI: Dr. Santan Barthwal
Project Title: Development of Microsatellite and DNA Barcoding based methods for tracing timber origin for Cedrus deodara.
Qualification
Essential Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with good working knowledge in the area of DNA Markers / Microsatellite Markers. Two years of work experience in the Molecular Markers after post graduation is essential.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Forest products / Dr. Kishan Kumar V.S
Project Title: Effect of different adhesives on the bending strength of finger jointed Eucalyptus sections.
Qualification
Essential Qualification: 1st class M.Sc. in Wood Science and Technology

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Pathology/ Dr. Amit Pandey
Project Title: Development and extension of Trichoderma spp. based formulation for disease biocontrol and plant growth promotion of eucalypts seedlings.
Qualification
Essential Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Microbiology with specialization / dissertation in plant pathogen bio-control
Desirable: working experience with plant pathogens

Project Title: Impact assessment of forest fire on ecology and forest vegetation on the forests of Uttarakhand.
Qualification
Essential Qualification: First class M. Sc. in Forestry/ Environmental Science

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Chemistry / Dr. Rashmi, Scientist- C
Project Title: Phytochemical studies on medicinally important Diploknema butyracea (Indian Butter Tree) seeds
Qualification
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Natural Product chemistry). Desirable: Candidate having experience of working in a chemistry laboratory will be preferred.

Stipend and Tenure: Stipend is Rs. 12000/-(Rupees Twelve thousand only) per month for JRF and Rs. 14000/- for S. R.F.

Tenure will be initially for one year or up to project completion period whichever is earlier and may be extended as per ICFRE rules.

Age: Upper age limit is 28 years for JRF and 32 years for SRF on 1/06/2014, which is relaxabie up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Physically Handicapped and OBC.

General Condition: Award of the fellowship is governed by the Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education rules and do not guarantee subsequent employment in any Institute under the council. Application on the plain paper must be submitted to Group Coordinator (Research) P.O: New Forest, Forest Research Institute, Dehradun-248006 within 10 days of its publication.
