Kakatiya University was established on 19th August, 1976 to fulfil the aspirations of the Telangana people for higher education. The founding of the University was in fact a historic event in the sense that heralded a new era in the realms of higher education of this region. The erstwhile Post-Graduate Centre of Osmania University was upgraded and named Kakatiya University. The development of the University over the years has been gradual but impressive. The University was initially accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and reaccredited with A grade in 2008. The University situated in a sprawling area of about 650 acres, has now 24 departments in four colleges on the campus with a network of eleven constituent colleges and 471 affiliated colleges.

Applications are invited for the recruitment of following two posts of Junior Research Fellow (J.R.F) under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, New Delhi funded project (San. No.102/IFD/SAN/5655/2013-2014) entitled “In vitro HIV type1 Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitory Activities of some active compounds from Phyllanthus emblica fruit” at the Department of Zoology, Kakatiya University, Warangal-506009.
Sl.No.1 Junior Research Fellow
Qualification & Experience: M.Sc. degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences/ or related subject with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade
Desirable: Research experience Cell culture technique and Molecular Biology are highly desirable.

Sl.No.2 Junior Research Fellow
Qualification & Experience: M. Pharm (Pharmacology) candidates with GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET or equivalent examination will be preferred.
Desirable: The students having research experience in HPLC will be given preference.
Emoluments: As per the rules of the funding agency.
Project Duration: 3 Years (The position is purely temporary, initially for a period of one year and will continue until the end of project based on satisfactory performance).
