National Research Institute of Ayurvedic Drug Development (NRIADD) formerly known as Central Research Institute of Ayurveda which was earlier established as Regional Research Institute (Ay.) on 1971 at Jagannath Dutta Lane, Kolkata and then the Institute was shifted to Bidhannagar, Kolkata on 1997 in its own building. Govt. of West Bengal had provided 3 acres land in the most posh area of Kolkata (SEZ) for the present campus. National Research Institute of Ayurvedic Drug Development is presently functioning with six departments, namely Hospital (OPD & IPD), Pathology & Biochemistry, Pharmacognosy, Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacy.
This Institute intends to engage JRF Chemistry-01 (one) purely on a contractual and co-terminus basis for a period of initially six months. The requisite qualification and other conditions are as detailed below

Educational Qualification : I. Essential : M.Sc (Chemistry) from a recognized University / Institute
Desirable
a. Skill hands-on column chromatography and knowledge of spectral data analysis of phytocompounds.
b. Skills in drafting and editing scientific documents/articles/technical reports, etc.
c. Publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Consolidated Emoluments : Rs. 37,000/- + H.R.A (As per Central Govt, rules)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years
Note : The number of posts may be increased /decreased as per the requirement.
Relaxation in the case of SC7ST/OBC as per Government of India rules.
Terms and Conditions
1. The engagement is initially for a period of six months, which may be curtailed or extended on the performance of the candidate and at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
2. The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis and co-terminus basis with the project/ programme, and no claim for continuation of service / regular appointment will be entertained.
3. The age limit of the candidate will be determined on the date of the Written Test / Interview.
4. Interested applicants should bring their duly filled application with a set of photocopies of self-attested Certificates, Mark sheets, Caste certificates, Experience certificates, etc., along with originals & two recent passport-size photographs.
5. The candidates are required to appear for a written lest/interview at the above-mentioned address at 10.00 am for registration, and beyond that, no candidate will be allowed.
6. Candidates already working should produce a ''No Objection Certificate" in ease he/she is employed elsewhere.
7. The selection committee has the right to select or reject the application of a candidate.
8. The selected candidate will have to submit an undertaking along with the joining report at the time of - joining.
9. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
10. The format for submission of the application may be downloaded from the Council's website, www.ccras.nic.in, or can be collected personally from the office (CARI, Kolkata) during working hours between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
11. Director Institute, CARI, Kolkata reserves the right to postpone or cancel the test and interview without assigning any reason thereof.
