Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) invites applications on prescribed format for the following Project Positions, purely on contractual basis for a period of one year, extendable as per requirement of PBTI & co- terminus with Project
Principal Project Associate – One (01)
Location : Mohali
Emoluments : Rs 49,000/- + HRA
Eligibility criteria : Qualification and Experience : Essential: i. Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
ii. Eight (08) Years experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services OR
i. Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma from a recognized University or equivalent
ii. Four Years experience in Research & Development in Industrial & Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
Desirable : Experience of working with National / International testing & certification laboratories /organizations. Knowledge of National / International Laboratory Quality Management Systems and Standards for Quality testing.
Job Requirement : The incumbent would be responsible for activities as per scope of Project and instrumental/ chemical/ Physical analysis of agri/ food & allied products, water etc.
Upper Age Limit : 40 years (as on last date of submission of applications)
Project : Advisory consultancy for establishment of Pesticide Residue Testing Laboratory at Jalandhar
Project duration : Three (03) years
Project Associate-II - Two (02)
Location : One Mohali ; One at Ludhiana
Emoluments : Rs 28,000/- + HRA
Eligibility criteria :
Essential : i. Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent ii. Two (02) Years experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirable : Experience of working with national / international testing & certification laboratories /organizations. Knowledge of national / international Laboratory Quality Management Systems and Standards for quality testing.
Job Requirement : The incumbent would be responsible for activities as per scope of Project and instrumental/ chemical/ Physical analysis of agri/ food & allied products, water etc.

Project : Assessment of Contaminants (Heavy Metals) in Crops Grown in Punjab
Project duration : Eighteen (18) months
Senior Project Associate - Two (02
Location : Mohali
Emoluments : Rs 42,000/- + HRA
Eligibility criteria : Essential: i. Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
ii. Four (04) Years experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services OR Doctoral degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Pharma from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable : Experience of working with national / international testing & certification laboratories /organizations. Knowledge of national / international Laboratory Quality Management Systems and Standards for quality testing.

2. The above posts are purely on contractual basis for a period of one year, extendable as per requirement of PBTI & co-terminus with Project.
3. Candidates should carefully read the required minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria etc. mentioned in the advertisement before applying for the post.
4. The application(s) (Hard Copy) must be submitted, in an Envelop Super-scribing the post applied for, in the prescribed application format (Proforma-I & Proforma-II) available on the website of PBTI i.e. pbtilabs.com with Self attested documentary proofs at Punjab Biotechnology Incubator, Knowledge City, Sector - 81, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab - 140306. The duly filled Proforma-II shall also be sent (in word format) through e-mail at rectt.pbti@gmail.com. candidate must specify the name of the Project & post applied for.
5. The candidates should apply separately for each post. Single application for multiple positions shall be summarily rejected.
6. Application Fee: A demand draft (Non-refundable) of Rs.590/- in favour of “Punjab Biotechnology Incubator” payable at Mohali OR Rs.590/- transferred through NEFT Details of PBTI’s Bank Account

7. No fee will be payable by Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST) candidates.
8. Incomplete application forms and applications that are not in proper format or without fee will not be considered.
9. CGPA conversion to percentage formula of university/institute should be provided along with photo copy of DMC/Degree.
10. The appointing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
