NIPER Hiring Young Professional

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar is an autonomous institute of National importance set up by the Government of India, under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers by an Act of Parliament, to impart higher education and undertake advanced research in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, technology and management. The Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers had entrusted the NIPER, Mohali, to establish a Centre of Excellence for Anti-Viral and Anti-Bacterial Drug Discovery and Development. The Centre of Excellence (CoE) would work on discovering and development of new anti-bacterial and anti-viral drugs which would help in India’s transition from volume based to value based pharmaceutical powerhouse of the world.

Post : Young Professional- I 

The Institute is looking for a dynamic, result oriented and experienced professional for the following temporary position under Centre of Excellence (CoE) initially for a period of one (01) year which may be extended on case to case basis depending upon the job/specific requirement and performance of the individual.

Upper age : 45 years

Remunerations : Candidates having Ph. D. degree – Rs. 80,000/- pm Candidates having M. Sc./ M.Pharm./M.B.A. degree – Rs. 60,000/- pm

Essential Qualification : Ph. D. /M.Sc./ M.Pharm./ M.B.A. Degree from a recognized University / Institute. 

Experience : 02 years post Ph.D. experience in project management/coordination. OR 05 years post Masters experience in project management / coordination.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management : Project management for CoE-Antiviral and Antibacterial Drug Discovery and Development project and timely submission of progress reports to Director and nodal ministry. 
2. Project Coordination : Proactively coordination of the project with various stakeholders and Principal Investigators of the project. 
3. Industry Engagement : Proactively identify and engage with industries to utilize NIPER SAS Nagar State-of-the- art CoE-Antiviral and Antibacterial Drug Discovery and Development facilities. 
4. Funding Acquisition : 
• Seek and secure funding through CSR initiatives, public grants, and other funding sources to support NIPER SAS Nagar research and development activities. 
• Financial resource generation for making CoE financially resilient. 
5. Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and funding agencies. 
6. Marketing and Promotion : Promote NIPER’s capabilities and services through various channels, including presentations, meetings, and marketing materials.


General Information
1. The position is initially for a period of one (01) year which may be renewed for another term depending upon performance of the candidate. 
2. The institute reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend the recruitment process without assigning any reason. The decision of the Institute shall be final, and no appeal shall be entertained. 
3. Leave: Paid leave of absence may be allowed at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of engagement. Accumulation of leave beyond a calendar year may not be allowed. 
4. Only eligible Indian nationals having proven track record, command, expertise and deep knowledge in the respective area may apply.

The candidate(s) who fulfill the eligibility criteria, may submit the application(s) in the prescribed application form along with attested copies of testimonials / degrees/ certificates, wherever applicable etc., in support of the averments made in the qualification, experience and other columns in the application form along with latest passport size photograph and prescribed fee, as mentioned below : 
i. for General and OBC candidates : Rs. 500/-
ii. for SC/ST/PwBD/Female candidate : NIL

The above prescribed application fee is required to be submitted through NEFT mode only. The proof of payment of prescribed fee payable through NEFT in the Institute’s Bank is required to be attached.

6. In case application received without / less prescribed fee, the application shall be rejected and no further correspondence in this regard shall be made / entertained. 7. The application must be submitted as per prescribed application format including signed supplementary format(s) of synopsis and brief duties format and other information. The application not in the prescribed format and not accompanied by the synopsis sheet shall be out-rightly rejected. The synopsis duly filled in shall also be send (in .pdf format) through e-mail at recruitmentcell@niper.ac.in. 
8. Incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (i.e. self attested copies of degree /certificates/marks sheets/experience certificates, without photographs, signatures and prescribed fee) will be out-rightly rejected. 
9. Facility of campus accommodation can be considered subject to availability and essentiality of job and on payment of Special Licence Fee as per Allotment of Residence (NIPER) Rules, 2001 as amended from time to time. 
10. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. The result of shortlisted candidates shall be uploaded on website and also conveyed through e-mail provided in the application form to the shortlisted candidates for attending the interview. No written or speed post communications shall be sent separately, and no claims of any kind shall be entertained in this regard. However, the candidates are advised to check NIPER website and their e-mails regularly. 11. No correspondence or query will be entertained from the candidates regarding the eligibility, status of applications, postal delays, result of interview/selection process and reasons for not being called for interview or selection etc. 
12. No TA/DA shall be paid either for attending the interview or for joining the assignment. 
13. The Competent Authority may relax the experience and age in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates.

14. Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria may submit their application on the prescribed application form along with attested copies of testimonials in an envelope super-scribing the post applied for “___________________________”.

15. The last date for receipt of application forms is 21.04.2025 (Monday), 05:00 pm. 
16. The Institute will NOT be responsible for non-receipt of application(s) within the stipulated date due to any postal delay/loss of application/document sent in transit. Late receipt of applications may not be considered and applications received after due date i.e. 21.04.2025 (Monday) shall not be entertained at any circumstances.
