Job for MSc or MTech Life Sciences to work in GSBM funded project at GBU

Gujarat Biotechnology University is a new post graduate university established by the Gujarat Biotechnology University Act 2018. Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (No. of Positions : 01)

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled Wastewater to biofuel and bio products: Cyanobacterial bio refinery through a green circular bio-economy” funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt.of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The posts are purely temporary and co-terminate with the project.

Minimum Qualifications : M.Sc / M.Tech (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry or relevant life sciences discipline), with minimum of 55% marks.

Desirable Qualifications :
• Candidates who have qualified the CSIR-UGC- NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE etc. National level exams will be preferred
• Candidates have prior experience of handling microalgae/cyanobacteria cultivation, identification and characterization, microbial consortia development, Wastewater characterization
• Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing.

Age Limit : Up to 35 years on closing date of advertisement

Fellowship Duration : Until December 2025

Fellowship : Rs.36,000/- per month inclusive of HRA (NET/GATE or equivalent exam qualified candidates) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines. OR Rs. 23,213/- fixed per month (For candidates who have not qualified for the national-level-examinations such as NET/GATE) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
