National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.
Post : Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for one temporary position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under a project entitled “Development of low-cost prostaglandins for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension” (GP-484) sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), under supervision of Prof. Arvind Kumar Bansal, Department of Pharmaceutics, NIPER-SAS Nagar. The position is purely on temporary basis initially for a period of 1 (one) year, extendable on yearly basis on the satisfactory performance of the candidate for a maximum period of 4 (four) years and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Essential Qualification : First class Post Graduate (PG) degree (including the integrated PG degrees) such as MS(Pharm.) / M.Pharm. / M.Tech. (Pharm.) or with specialisation in Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulation) / Drug delivery or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : Candidates having experience in the Development of characterization of drug delivery systems, like dry powder inhalers, parenteral, and oral solids will be given preference.
Age limit : Not more than 35 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD is as per GoI rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time).
Fellowship : Rs. 56,000/-p.m. + HRA, as admissible.
The engagement is full time and purely temporary for all intent and purposes initially for a period of 01 year and extendable on yearly basis on the satisfactory performance of the candidate for a maximum period of 4 (four) years and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.
The interviews will be held in person at NIPER-SAS Nagar and only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Interview call letters will be sent through e-mail only.
