NEIGRIHMS was established by the Government of India in 1987. It has been designed as a Postgraduate Medical Institute in lineage of AIIMS, New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh. It is the First Postgraduate Medical Institute in the North Eastern Region and the Third in the Country established by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The Department of Microbiology, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong will conduct a "Walk-In-Interview" on 10th March. 2025 in the Seminar Room, Department of Microbiology, NEIGRIHMS from 10:00 am to 11:00 am to select qualified person for the following post purely on contractual basis under the Project entitled "Surveillance of Foodborne Disease Pathogens in North-East India" under funding of ICMR, Govt, of India with following details.

Qualifications : M.Sc in Life Sciences + three years research experience in Microbiology
Age limit (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/ PH as per rules) : 35 years
Consolidated emolument : Rs. 30,520/- per month
Duration of the project : 1 (one) year & purely temporary.
Details of Terms & Conditions
1. The crucial date for determination of eligibility with regard to age, educational qualification and experience etc. will be the date the candidates appear for the Walk-In-Interview
2. The above position is purely on contractual basis.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing the Walk-In-Interview.
4. No accommodation will be provided.
5. Candidates reaching after specified timing will not be entertained.
6. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
