Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals for the appointment of the following position.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (01 position)
Project : “Understanding the genetic basis of hearing loss using zebrafish model” (Funded by SERB)
PI : Dr. P V Ramchander
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- + HRA
Eligibility & Selection : Candidates having M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or related subjects (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry / Genetics / Microbiology / Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point (relaxation will be as per Govt. guideline) are eligible to apply. Candidates should have qualified national level exam such as NET/LS-NET/GATE/GPAT/BET. Candidate with knowledge and experience in genetics or bioinformatics or cell culture or molecular biology techniques will be given preference.
Age Limit : The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 14-03-2024. An age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules.

Incomplete applications and applications without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected. The appointment will be for one year or until the end of the project.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
