Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, Punjab, an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed.
Post : Research Associate-I (Ra-I)
Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Research Associate-I (Ra-I) in the industrial project funded by ‘Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’ at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project : Development of single catalytic system for photocatalytic hydrogen production and thermal CO2 conversion
Principal Investigator : Dr. Kamalakannan Kailasam, Scientist-G
Essential Qualifications : PhD in Chemistry or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Experience : Experience in synthesis of nanomaterials especially porous organic polymers and handled analytical techniques regarding photocatalytic water splitting and CO2 conversion will be preferred
Age limit : Must not be over 35 years as on 4th April, 2024, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Fellowship : Rs. 47,000/- (pm) + HRA as applicable
Duration : Initially six months and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

Mode of Interview : Physical mode for candidates stays in 500 km radius and online mode for other candidates
General Terms and Conditions :
• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and may be extended based on performance of the candidate. The position is co-terminus with the project.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of interview (when interview will take in person).
