The Central University of Odisha has been established by the Parliament under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (No. 3C of 2009). It is one of the 15 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan period to address the concerns of "equity and access" and as per the policy of the Government of India to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrollment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%.

A Walk-in-Interview for selection of one Project Fellow in the Project entitled “Metabolite Profiling and Bioprospecting of Underutilized Wild Yams (Dioscorea spp.) used by Tribals of Koraput, Odisha”, funded by Science and Technology Department, Govt of Odisha, under the supervision of Principal Investigator Dr. Debabrata Panda, Assistant Professor, Department of Biodiversity & Conservation of Natural Resources, Central University of Odisha, Koraput, Odisha-764021 for a period of 1year 9 months.
Qualifications : Post-Graduate Degree in any branch of Life Sciences/ Botany/ Biodiversity/Biotechnology with minimum 55% marks with Knowledge on plant molecular marker analysis and plant biotechnology.
Project Tenure : The project tenure is 1 Year 9 months OR completion of the project, whichever is earlier
Emoluments : Rs. 17,000/- P.M. for 1st and 2nd year, Rs. 19,000/- P.M for 3rd year
