IGIMS was established on 19th November 1983, as an autonomous organisation on the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The objective was to provide super specialty medical facilities in Bihar. On 27th January 1983 Cabinet approved the completion of this massive project in 4 phases within a span of six (6) years. According to the decision of State Government, 130.20 Acres of land was transferred to IGIMS.

Qualification : Post Graduate degree in Biotechnology, Life sciences, Zoology, basic science, OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following : (a) Scholars who are selected through national level eligibility tests viz.. ICAR / CSIR / UGC-NET / JRF. The selection process through National level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, ICAR, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICMR Candidate having hands on experience in molecular Biology techniques like RT- PCR. ELISA. NGS etc.
Age : Maximum 35 Years. (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt, of India)
Candidate having requisite qualification with a copy of complete BIO-DATA with original certificates and its photocopy with two passport size photographs may come for walk-in-interview on date and time mentioned above. No TA/DA is allowed for appearing in the interview. The decision of Director, IGIMS will be final.
Interview will be held on March 27, 2024 at 11.00 A.M. in the Director’s board room, IGIMS, Patna.
Reporting time for the candidates will be 9.30 a.m.
