Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following project positions.

Post : Project Associate

Project Title : Mission Program on Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders (Funded by DBT)

Senior Project Associate
PI : Dr. R. Swain
Emoluments : Rs. 42,000/- + 16% HRA
Essential Qualifications : Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / M.V.Sc, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and Four years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services (OR) Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in Molecular biology and cell & developmental biology. Nature of Duty: Generation and analysis of zebrafish mutants and transgenic embryos, cell-based assays to understand gene function and regulation. Report writing and manuscript preparation
Age Limit : The candidate should be below 40 years in age, as on 09.04.2024. An age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules

Project Associate-I
PI : Dr. P V Ramchander
Emoluments : (i) Remuneration Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA (for candidates who cleared National Eligibility Tests like CSIR UGC-NET including LS-NET or GATE or any National level examinations conducted by Government Departments or their agencies/Institutions like DBT, DST, ICMR, DAE etc.) (ii) Rs. 25,000/- + 16% HRA (for others who do not fall under (i) above). Essential Qualifications : Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / M.V.Sc. or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates having experience in human molecular genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and/or cell biology will be given preference.
Age Limit : The candidate should be below 35 years in age, as on 09.04.2024. An age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules

Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.
