The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (01)
Applications are invited on plain paper for the contractual post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the ICMR funded project “Functional Implications of PPARy....ischemic stroke elucidating...down-stream signaling cascade" under Dr. Pramod Avti. Additional Professor, Department of Biophysics, PGIMER, Chandigarh-160012. The post is purely on contract basis subject to extension by ICMR.
Qualification : First Class Master's Degree in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Bioinformatics (Life Sciences) from a recognized University.
Desirable : Fellowships of ICMR/CSIR/NET-JRF qualified candidate, relevant experience in Molecular Biology, cell culture, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, qRT-PCR, flow cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and small animal surgeries and handling is desirable.
Age : As per ICMR rules
Pay Scale : As per ICMR rules.
The above appointment will be purely on contract basis and likely to continue subject to extension by ICMR. Interested candidates fulfilling the above criteria are required to submit along with cover letter their detailed bio-data and necessary testimonials/certificates on or before 08lh April. 2024 by 12:00 noon, in the Department of Biophysics, Room No. 520, Research 'B' Block, 5th ’Floor, PGIMER Chandigarh.
