Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate and a Junior Research fellow to actively work on the project entitled “Development of a point-of-care (POC) biosensor for the detection of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides in environmental samples” by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with project.

Research Associate
Qualification and experience : PhD in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university Or MSc / Mtech in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university with at least 3 years of research experience in Academia or in Industry
Desirable Qualification / Experience : experience in: Diagnostic assay development / Molecular Biology / Biosensors / Aptamer technology / Electrochemical sensing and Project report prepration and Laboratory management skills
Monthly Emoluments : INR 54,200 Including HRA

Project Duration : Till the end of the project: 2.0 years (subject to satisfactory performance)
Junior Research Fellow
Qualification and experience : MSc in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university with minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable Qualification / Experience : Experience in: Diagnostic assay development/ Molecular Biology / Biosensors / Aptamer technology / Electrochemical sensing
Monthly Emoluments : INR 36000 Including HRA (NET / GATE or national- level exam qualified candidates) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines. OR Rs. 23, 213 per month (For candidates who have not qualified the national-level examinations such as NET/GATE) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
