Summer Internship Programme 2023 at Central Instrumentation Facility, BIT Mesra

An unquenchable thirst for innovation and disruption; a rich legacy of technology and entrepreneurship; and a commitment to nurturing leaders who make a difference to the world has been the credo of BIT Mesra in the nearly six decades of its existence. It has many firsts to its credit. It was the first in the country to establish a department dedicated to Space Engineering & Rocketry way back in 1964. It was also the first to develop a Science & Technology Entrepreneurs’ Park (BIT-STEP), on campus to instill the spirit of entrepreneurship in its students. Today, it is a vibrant place, bustling with student activities and innovative teaching methods that make it home to thousands of aspiring leaders of tomorrow.

The summer internship programme aims to provide potential candidates with a unique opportunity to Team the applications of various advanced analytical instruments, which are essential for the characterization of materials. Under the guidance of qualified professionals, the interns are encouraged to become familiar with the tools. They will be given an introduction to the instrument’s operation, its operating principles, data analysis, and result interpretation.

WHO CAN APPLY?
• Undergraduate or Postgraduate (Pursuing / Completed) in any field of science, engineering, technology or equivalent.
• Laboratory or Technical staff working in Govt, recognized Institution/ Research Organization/ Industry.

The Internship Fee for Selected candidates are given below:
Students: Rs. 8000 +18% GST Sponsored Candidates: Rs. 16000+18% GST

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :
• Applying for multiple section - Applicant can choose maximum 3 section in preference but he/she will be selected for one section only as per availability and eligibility.
• The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed in the institute’s website. After selection, the course fee to be deposited through electronic means (by selected candidates only) and scanned copy of bank/online receipt with valid photo ID is to be sent to e-mail id: cif@bitmesra.ac.in

• The Internship Fee is non-refundable under any circumstances once paid.
• Original receipt and self-attested set of documents shall be deposited at time of joining of the course.
• No Objection Certificate should be provided by Employer/ Director / Manager/ CEO/ Principal/ Dean/ HOD (wherever applicable).
• All documents in original to be shown on the joining day for internship programme.
• No accommodation will be provided.
• No travelling or any other allowances will be paid to candidate for attending the internship program.
• It is an internship program and it would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
• Certificate of Internship will be provided after successful completion of internship.
