The Laboratory was established in 1941 as a research and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2005 and its name changed to Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM).

CHEMISTRY
Senior Project Associate - 01 Post
Essential Qualification : (i) M.Sc./ M.Pharm / M.S. in Organic / Analytical Chemistry / Natural Products Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent. And (ii) 4 years experience in Research & Development in Natural Products Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry with Phytochemical Analysis in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations. OR Doctoral Degree in Natural Products Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable : Candidate having experience in isolation of natural products from plants/microbes and handling and maintenance of HPLC and expertise in NMR and Mass Spectroscopic analysis
Upper age limit : 40 yrs.

Project Associate I - 01 Post
Essential Qualification : M.Sc./ M.Pharm / M.S. in Organic / Analytical Chemistry / Natural Products Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Pharmacognosy from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable : Candidate having experience in isolation of natural products from plants/microbes and handling and maintenance of HPLC and expertise in NMR and Mass Spectroscopic analysis will be prefered.
Upper age limit : 35 yrs.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : i) Rs. 20,000/- + HRA Increment of 15% for 3 years of experience with maximum ceiling of 4 such revisions i.e. upto 12 years of experience.

Essential Qualification : (i) M.Sc. in Biological Sciences / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Biochemical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. and (ii) 4 years experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations. OR Doctoral Degree in Biological Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biochemical Engineering/Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable : Experience in basic microbiological methods, isolation and maintenance of microorganisms/ biotransformation / fermentation etc. Experience in process optimization and scale up in fermentation as evident by publications will be given preference.
Upper age limit : 40 yrs.

4. Filled in Google Form should be submitted by or before 28th March 2023 (Monday) up to 5:00 pm.
5. Google Form submitted after the scheduled date and time i.e. 28th March 2023 (Monday) up to 5:00 pm. shall not be entertained for Online Interview and summarily rejected.
6. Only eligible candidates shall be accessed for the Online Interview/viva-voce on the date of Online Interview. The list of eligible shortlisted candidates and dates for Online Interview will be displayed on CSIR-IIIM Website www.iiim.res.in by evening on 29th March (Wednesday) 2023.
7. The shortlisted candidates shall have to be available on the date of the Online Interview from 9.30 A.M. onwards and will be called anytime during the allotted time period (if any change is there, they will be intimated accordingly).
8. Eligible/shortlisted candidates shall attend the Online Interview through Video Conferencing on MS Teams (Microsoft Teams).
9. The viva-voce vis-à-vis eligible/shortlisted candidates shall be conducted online through Video Conferencing on Microsoft Teams. However, if a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may re-visit screening the criteria and shortlist the candidates for Online Interview in proportionate to the available vacancies. The candidates have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
10. The positions are purely temporary on a contract basis and co-terminus with the sponsored Project GAP-3138.
11. In case the final certificates reflect CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades etc., in that case, the candidate should convert the same into equivalent percentage as per the approved formula of the University in the Google Form and a copy of such conversion formula must be attached along with the Google Form.
12. To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfill the eligibility criteria and possess the degrees/mark sheets in the aforesaid subjects should apply for the Online Interview.
13. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents including essential qualification, DOB, Caste and age relaxation certificates will be verified, if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment stands cancelled.
14. It is clarified that the engagement of all project staff in different projects either in the same Lab/Instt. or different Lab/Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case. If at later stage any fudging/fraud, in this regard, is found, legal action warranted under rules shall be taken against the wrongdoer.
