Post : R&D Associate, Home & Hygiene

Main Responsibilities of the Candidate
You will be formulation workstream leader and do project management for few Home & Hygiene innovation programmes for brands such as Domex, Vim, Living Hygiene and Cif. You will work with cross functional and cross regional teams to deliver next generation innovation projects for India and BSPAN countries which will positively impact the health and hygiene of people and the planet.
• Responsible for delivery of new technology development work stream for H&H liquids and developing the technology roadmap of the future
• Work with operations team and make batches in the pilot plant
• Responsible for managing the technical data repository at one place for all the projects
• Work with BSPAN teams to land projects which are specific to those countries
• Work with South Asia cross functional teams (marketing, supply chain, procurement, regulatory affairs, legal and finance) to deploy projects for the respective geographies in South Asia
• Understand consumer habits & needs and address them as part of product solution design
• Develop process to manufacture formulations and upscale through feasibility trials at main plant
• Conduct work in a manner that fits the digitally enabled R&D of the future
• Ensure compliance to Internal Unilever protocols with respect to safety, environment, claims, specification management, etc

Candidate Profile
• Background in Chemical Engg or related science streams like Oils and Fats, Pharmacy - BE / B. Tech in Chemical Engineering / Oils and Fats, M. Pharm, M.Sc. or related Science study streams
• Reasonable experience (4-5 years) in formulation and process development in an FMCG set up preferably in liquids formulation design
• Experience in independently leading technical projects with excellent project management skills
• Exploratory mindset and curiosity about science
• Great collaborator with good communication & presentation skills
• A quick learner who is not afraid to take the initiative and be proactive to get things done.
• Ability to work in cross functional/cross-cultural team and with partner suppliers
• Analytical mindset
• Digital Skills will be an added advantage
