National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Institute intends to fill the following Positions under DBT sponsored project titled “Establishment of GMP accredited Pilot Scale extraction facilities for development of phytopharmaceutical products from the Medicinal Plants of NE India” (GAP-133).

Research Associate-II (Post Code P-01)
Fellowship : Rs.47,000/- +16% HRA
Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Ph.D in Microbiology or Equivalent or having 3 years of research, teaching experience after post-graduation in M.Sc. /M.Tech Microbiology with 55% marks and at least one research publication in SCI indexed Journal. GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET or any National entrance test exam conducted by any central Govt. department is essential for candidates with Master degree. Desirable: Required to analyse microbiological load in the standardized extracts. Candidates having industrial experience for GLP testing is preferable.

Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Ph.D in Natural Product Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/ Equivalent or having 3 years of research, teaching experience after post-graduation in M.Sc./M.Pharm Natural Product Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Organic Chemistry with 55% marks and at least one research publication in SCI indexed Journal. GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET or any National entrance test exam conducted by any central Govt.department is essential for candidates with Master degree. Desirable: Required to assist project scientist of natural product for preparation of standardized extracts well as reference compounds and development of Phytopharmaceuticals. Candidates having knowledge on WHO-GMP extraction will be preferable.

Project Scientist-II (Post Code P-03)
Fellowship : Rs.67,000/- +16% HRA
Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Ph.D with 3 years of experience and postgraduation in MSc/M.Pharm in Analytical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Analysis/Equivalent with 55% marks and at least three research publication in SCI indexed Journal. Desirable: Required to handle analytical equipment’s and to perform stability studies. Candidates having industrial experience for GLP testing is preferable.

Project Scientist-II (Post Code P-04)
Fellowship : Rs.67,000/- +16% HRA
Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Ph.D with 3 years of experience and postgraduation in M.Sc./M.Tech/M.S in Chemical engineering/Biomedical engineering /Equivalent with 55% marks and at least three research publication Desirable: Required to manage the total pilot scale extraction facility. Candidates having knowledge on WHO-GMP extraction will be preferable.

Project Scientist-II (Post Code P-05)
Fellowship : Rs.67,000/- +16% HRA
Qualifications and Experience : Essential : Ph.D with 3 years of experience and postgraduation in M.Sc./M.Pharm Natural Product Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Organic Chemistry Equivalent with 55% marks and at least three research publication Desirable: Required to prepare reference compounds, standardized extracts and purification as well as characterizations of phytopharmaceuticals from the standardized extracts as well as to conduct stability studies for the standardized extracts.

Project Scientist-II (Post Code P-06)
Fellowship : Rs.67,000/- +16% HRA
Qualifications and Experience : Essential: Ph.D with 3 years of experience and postgraduation in M.Sc./M.Pharm Pharmacognosy/botany/Taxonomy Equivalent with 55% marks and at least three research publication. Desirable: Required for collection, authentication and estimation of organoleptic properties of the plant materials.

General Instructions
1. Candidates of Indian nationality can only apply for these posts.
2. Age relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ ST/ Differently Abled/ women candidates and upto 3 years for OBC
3. Project duration is for 3 years. However, the selected candidates will be offered for one year and will be extendable based on the performance.
4. Interested candidates are requested to fill the online application. The link of online application will be activated on 6th March, 2021 and will be available on our website (niperguwahati.ac.in). It is mandatory to fill the application online, and no other form of application will be accepted. Candidates are requested to arrange the softcopies of all the required documents before filling the application.
5. Candidates should read carefully the requisite minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying for the above post. Since all the applications will be screened on the basis of data submitted by the candidate in the online application form, the candidates must satisfy themselves of the suitability for the position to which they are applying. If at any stage during the recruitment and selection process, it is found that candidates have furnished false or wrong information, their candidature will be rejected.
6. Application once submitted cannot be altered / resubmitted, under any circumstances. Further, no request with respect to making changes in any data/ particular entered by the candidate in the application will be entertained, once the application is submitted successfully by Email.

8. On the recommendation of the Screening/Selection Committee, the competent authority may relax all or any of the requirements related to age and experience in exceptionally meritorious cases.

9. Fulfilment of qualifications and experience is an essential requirement. The candidate will be called for personal interview or stated above while progressing ahead in the stage(s) of recruitment / selection, following the standards in general. As stated, the Institute is free to set the benchmark and call only the eligible candidates for the personal interview either by online or physical depend on the prevailing situation of COVID. Further, NIPER Guwahati also reserves the right NOT to fill any the post advertised, in the event or exigency so decided.

11. In case any dispute arises on account of interpretation of clauses in any version of this Advertisement other than English, the English version available on the NIPER-G Website shall prevail.
12. CANVASSING IN ANY FORM MAY LEAD TO CANCELLATION OF CANDIDATE
13. The current positions are under contractual and are purely temporary in nature and same is renewable depending upon performance and mutual consent for every year. The candidate will have no right to claim for regularization. All appointments are contractual in nature and on fixed/consolidated pay as mentioned in the respective columns of each position.
14.
