The Bergstrom Lab at Uppsala University is looking for an ambitious postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in nanoparticle drug delivery and an interest in multidisciplinary research.
The lab is located at the Department of Pharmacy, offering an interdisciplinary environment at the center of the pharmaceutical arena. With frontline research, first-class education and extensive collaborations we constitute a driving force in the development of our academic field. The multi-disciplinary research performed in our group combines pharmaceutics, material science, physical, analytical and computational chemistry, physiology and cell biology. We are world leading in developing innovative dosage forms for the oral delivery of poorly soluble drugs and studying their processing by the gastrointestinal tract. We form a unique cluster of academic competences within pharmaceutical sciences, playing a key role in shaping the future of pharmacy in both Sweden and globally.

Job Description

Candidate Profile
• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physical Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or related fields
• Experience in advanced drug delivery systems (design and characterization)
• Experience in lipid-based nanoparticles
• Experience in scattering techniques and imaging
• Experience in cell culture is a plus
• Good communication skills in English, both written and oral
