Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and three inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up world class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.

Applications are invited for a Walk in interview for the following post(s) in the project entitled, "Efficient utilization of sugarcane top for production of cellulosic ethanol and other value added products" at the department of Biosciences & Bioengineering, IIT Guwahati.
Duration of Appointment in months : 11
Qualifications : M.Sc / BVSc / B.Pharm / B.ScAg / B.E / B.Tech Biotechnology or related field with minimum of 55% marks at all levels and in the qualifying degree.
Desirable: Experience in Microbiology, molecular biology or fermentation techniques is desirable but not essential.
Total Amount (Rs.) : Rs 15400.00

Candidates have to appear in the Walk in Interview along with an application/CV on plain paper giving details of all educational qualifications, experience, contact address, phone no., E - mail etc. and submit photocopies of relevant documents at the time of interview.
Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview. Candidates will not be sent any call letter separately. Advance copy of CV may be sent to the Principal Investigator.
