The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the new state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to function as a national centre for treatment, research and education in cancer. TMC is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860) and the Bombay Public Trust Act (1950). Its Governing Council is headed by the Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission, Government of India.

Title of the Project : “Investigating the molecular basis of CaM/c-FLIP interaction to design specific c-FLIP inhibitor for modulating its anti-apoptotic function”.

Consolidated Salary : For SRF: Rs. 35,500/- p.m. & For JRF: Rs.32,500/-
Job Description: To perform protein modelling, protein-protein/ligand docking, Molecular dynamics simulation. Knowledge of database development will be preferred. Knowledge of basic bioinformatics tools and languages like C, C++, Perl, Java required.
Minimum Qualifications : Master’s degree in bioinformatics, biochemistry, biotechnology and biological sciences from a recognized university with not less than 70% aggregate marks.
Experience:
FOR SRF: Prior experience of minimum 2 years in modelling, protein-protein/ligand docking, Molecular dynamics simulation is mandatory. Knowledge in database development will be preferred.
FOR JRF: Prior experience in modelling, protein-protein/ligand docking, Molecular dynamics simulation is expected. Knowledge in database development will be preferred.
