Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the consultancv/research project(s) under the Principal investigator (Name: Dr. Shri Ram Yadav), Dept./Centre Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Title of project : “Auxin-cytokinin interaction and its functional significance during rice crown root development’

Sponsor of the project : DB1

Qualifications : Master degree with at least 60% marks in any branch of Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry. Experience in plant science is desirable. Candidates appearing in M.Sc. examination (result awaited) may appear in the interview but they must have result declared at the time of joining.

Emoluments : JRF @ Rs. 25000+10% HRA. The candidate not qualified NET/GATE/BET/BINC would be eligible for fellowship Rs. 12000 pm +HRA as per DBT norms.

Duration : 7 months (till end of the project)

Job description : To conduct molecular biology and cell biology based experiments, plant tissue culture and plant growth, independently and together with other lab members. Apart from this, the candidate is also expected to partially assist other lab project as per the requirement.

1. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply
2. Candidates desiring to appear for the Interview should submit their applications with the following documents to the office of Principal Investigator through email, by post or produce at the time of Interview:
• Application in a plain paper with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree/certificates obtained.
• Experience including research, industrial field and others.
• Attested copies of degree/certificate and experience certificate.
3. Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time of interview for verification
4. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
5. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
The walking interview will be held at Committee Room (Room No. G-08) on 30-03-018, 11:00 AM at Department of Biotechnology, IIT Roorkee.
