The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) will Endeavour to deliver its services appropriate to the client’s needs in a timely manner adhering to the applicable International standards. National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India invites applications for engagement of Scientist –‘B’ on contract basis initially for a period of one year extendable upto a maximum three years for routine dope sample testing and data analysis.

Qualification requirements
Essential: M.Sc (Chemical Sciences/ Biological sciences/Pharmaceutical sciences / applied sciences in relevant fields from recognised university or equivalent with 2 years experience)
Or
Ph. D
Desirable: Specialised experience in research & development in the field of drug analysis / sports dope testing / quality management system as per ISO 17025 / industrial / scientific organisation.
Tenure: - The contractual engagement will be initially for a period of one year which could be further extended based on the performance of the individual.
Age Limit: - The maximum age shall not be more than 40 years on the last date of receipt of applications.
Remuneration: - Fixed Monthly remuneration of Rs. 60,000/- will be payable.
Tax Deduction at source: - The Income Tax or any other tax liable to be deducted, as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting the payment, for which the NDTL will issue TDS Certificates/Service Tax, as applicable.
Other Allowances: - No TA/DA shall be admissible for joining the assignment or on its completion. No other facilities like DA, Accommodation, Residential Phone, Conveyance /Transport, Personal Staff, Medical reimbursement, HRA and LTC etc. would be admissible to them.
Extension: - Performance of the Scientist –‘B’ would be continuously reviewed and their extension will be considered on the basis of performance review reports.
Leave: - They will be entitled for 20 days leave in a calendar year on pro-rata basis. Therefore, Scientist –‘B’ shall not draw any remuneration in case of his/her absence beyond 20 days in a year. Also un-availed leave in a calendar year will lapse and will not be carried forward to the next calendar year.
Confidentiality: -
i. Scientist –B’ may not, except with the previous sanction of National Dope Testing Laboratory in the bonafide discharge of his/her duties, publish a book or a compilation of articles or participate in a radio broadcast or contribute an article or anonymously or pseudonymous in the name of any other person, if such book, article, broadcast, uses any information that he/she may gather as part of this assignment, without the prior approval of the NDTL.
ii. During the period of engagement with NDTL, the Scientist – ‘B’ would be subject to the provisions of the Indian Official Secret Act, 1923 and will not divulge any information gathered by his/her during the period of his/her engagement to anyone who is not authorized to know.
iii. The Scientist – ‘B’ engaged by the NDTL shall in no case represent or give opinion or advice to others in any matter which is adverse to the interest of NDTL.

Other Conditions: -
i. In case they are required to proceed outstation from their place of posting on tour for official duty, they will be entitled to TA/DA as admissible under the rules as applicable to Officers of the level of Scientist – ‘B’ (Permanent) in NDTL.
ii. In case of performance of any Scientist –‘B’ is not found upto the mark, their services will be discontinued after giving one month notice.
NDTL reserves the right to terminate the contract, by giving thirty days notice to any Scientist –B’.

Applications incomplete in any respect (i.e. unsigned, without photograph, without required documents/certificates etc.) will e summarily rejected.
The prescribed Essential Qualifications are a bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidates to be called for interview where the number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient on possible for the NDTL to interview all the applicants. NDTL may restrict the number of applicants to be called for selection process to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The applications, should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualifications & experience possessed in the relevant field over & above the minimum qualifications/experience prescribed along with attested photocopies of mark sheets/ certificates.
