Kumaun University is spread over in three campuses (DSB Campus, Bhimtal Campus and SS Jena Campus) with an area of 5,31,373 sq. mt. (160 acres) and built-up area of 3,00,000 sq. mt. The location of the university in Uttarakhand offers excellent research and teaching due to its landscape which is on undulating high ground. There are many herbs, shrubs and trees as well as rocks and minerals constituting eco-systems that can be studied. Research Fellow (01 Post)
Research Fellow for UGC funded project in Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bhimtal.
Fellowship: Rs. 14,000 p.m. consolidated for two years. No separate allowances would be given.
Qualification
Essential
i. M.Pharm/ M.Sc. in Natural Product Chemistry or Botany or B. Pharm with atleast 2 years experience in R&D sector.
ii. Adept in drafting research reports/ articles
iii. Fluency in written and spoken English
Desirable
i. Sound health conditions for collection of samples from the tough and rugged mountainous terrains.
ii. Knowledge of local dialects (Kumaoni and Garhwali)
iii. Previous experience of handling similar projects.
iv. Knowledge of Lower Plants
Research Fellow (02 Posts)
Research Fellow for UCOST funded project in Department of Zoology, Nainital
Fellowship: Rs. 8,000 p.m. consolidated for two years. No separate allowances would be given
Qualification
Essential
i. Masters in any discipline of Life Sciences
ii. Adept in drafting research reports/ articles
iii. Fluency in written and spoken English
Desirable
i. Sound health conditions for collection of samples from the tough and rugged mountainous terrains.
ii. Knowledge of local dialects (Kumaoni and Garhwali)
iii. Previous experience of handling similar projects.
iv. Knowledge of Hematology and blood sampling.
