Recruitment for Masters in pharmaceutical sciences, Forensic Sciences or Chemistry at Indian Institute of Toxicology Research

The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus. 

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the interview for purely temporary engagement as Project Staff under CSIR/externally funded Projects tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology research, Lucknow. Project wise vacancy positions, date of Interview and qualification details are us under:-

Junior Research Fellow (Project) GAP-426 (01) 
Essential Qualification: 
(i) Master’s Degree in Chemical Sciences/ Forensic Sciences/ Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent institute. and 
Scholars who are selected through 
(a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or
 b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Job description: Chemical analysis using sophisticated instruments such as UPLC, LC- MS/MS etc. 
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.): 31000/- +HRA as per rules
Upper Age Limit: 28 years which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes/ Divyangjan (PWD) and female applicants whereas 3 years in the case of OBCs (Non- creamy layer candidates) 
Project No. and title of the Project: GAP-426 “Identification of bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan chemical remodeling as a signature of antimicrobial resistance machinery of microbes”

Project Associate-I GAP-168 (01) 
Essential Qualification
(i) Master’s Degree in Forensic Sciences/Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent. 
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the personnel having working experience in the field of toxicokinetics and bio- analysis 
Job description: To collect the food samples from the market and monitoring of residues and health risk assessments
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.): 25000/-+HRA per month as per rule.
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Project No. and title of the Project: GAP-168 “Monitoring of Pesticides residues at National Level”


Project Associate-I GAP-437 (01)
Essential Qualification 
Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/Zoology/ Life Science from a recognized university or equivalent institute. 
Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the personnel having working experience in regulatory framework, and having the experience of handling small laboratory animals etc. 
Job description: To carryout the safety/toxicity studies under the regulatory framework 
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.): 31000/-+HRA Or 25000/-+HRA (i) 31000/-+HRA to Scholars who are selected through
(a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or 
(b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. 
Upper Age Limit: 35 years 
Project No. and title of the Project: GAP-437 Toxicity Profile of Swaskuthar Rasa in Experimental Animals

Junior Research Fellow (Project) GAP-451 (01)
Essential Qualification: 
(i) Master’s Degree in Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Animal Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent institute And Scholars who are selected through 
(a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or 
b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Job description: Carry out the proposed research work 
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.): 37,000/-+HRA as per applicable 
Upper Age Limit: 28 years which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Sch edule Tribes/ Divyangjan (PWD) and female applicants whereas 3 years in the case of OBCs (Non- creamy layer candidates) 
Project No. and title of the Project: GAP-451 “Arsenic- mediated epigenetic regulation of PU.1 and its impact on microglial phagocytosis


Eligible candidates will have to report for interview at 9.00 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview after 10.00 am. The candidates have to appear for the interview before the selection committee on the above date and time at CSIR-Indian Toxicological Research Institute, Toxicology Bhawan, 31 Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow 226001. Eligible candidates will appear along with the duly filled application form (which can be downloaded from the Institute's website www.iitrindia.org) along with attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and latest passport size photograph. The candidate will be called for the interview only if he/she is in possession of the original certificates.

General Conditions 
1. Suitable Candidates may be empanelled for future requirement if any, under different projects.
2. The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of interview.
3. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that Post.
4. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects.
5. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/IITR post(s).
6. The number of positions against the various projects can vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
7. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
8. No correspondence will be entertained through any medium regarding the advertisement.
9. Candidates must bring their original educational/experience certificates with them. Otherwise, they will not be allowed in the interview.
