Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions in the DBT Project entitled “Platform for Measurement of Free Radicals (PMFR) funded by DBT under SAHAJ Infrastructure” under the supervision of Dr. Jagadis Gupta Kapuganti, Scientist, NIPGR. The details of positions are as under:
Post: Project Scientist I, Senior Project Associate
Project Scientist I (one post):
Emoluments Rs. 56,000 + 24% HRA per month as sanctioned in the project. Increment of 5% after 2 years subject to satisfactory performance.
Upper age limit: 35 years
Qualification: Candidates having doctoral degree in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology or any other related field or M.Tech. (Engineering or Technology) from a recognized university or equivalent and fulfilling the norms of DST issued vide DST OM SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply. At least 2 international publications will be desirable and should have demonstrated ability to measure various free radicals.
Senior Project Associate (one post):
Emoluments Rs. 42,000 + 24% HRA per month as sanctioned in the project.
Upper age limit: 40 years
Qualification: Candidates having Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural sciences/ MVSc or bachelor’s degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent;
and
Four years’ experience in Research and development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services;
Or
Doctoral degree in Science/Engineering/ Technology/ Pharma/MD/MS from recognized university or equivalent and fulfilling the norms of DST issued vide DST OM SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply. Candidate should have experience in free radical research and measurement of radicals.
The above positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

The interview will be through online mode. A web-link with date and time of online interview will be e-mailed to the shortlisted candidates only. Incomplete application and lack of supporting educational/experience/certificate certificates will be rejected. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
