Overview
Lead new product development in terms of conceptualization and execution of new product ideas.

Major Activities
• Mine literature for potential leads
• Process literature to explain mechanism of action and validation of products.
• Develop SOPs and suitable formats for smooth functioning of NPD.
• Lead the execution of stage gate process.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to obtain support for execution of NPD projects.
• Lead selected NPD projects end to end.
• Plan and design experiments for concept proof and validation of new products.
• Review the experimental designs created by different groups in R&D.
• Preparation of manuscript
• Presentations for new projects
• Review of scientific reports
• Generate new ideas which could create block busters.
• The ideas must be novel and interesting and impactful
• Develop a strong team for NPD.
• The team members should have strong technical skills to conceptualise and execute NPD ideas.
• Develop good collaboration skills since NPD demands collaboration with multiple departments in the company
• To lead the NPD to create a strong R&D vertical
