NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.
Post : Research Associate-I (1 Position)
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Project Title : Identification of heat stress-specific biomarkers to develop a biosensor for formulating mitigation strategies in high yielding dairy animals, PI : Dr. Pankaj Suman.
Eligibility : Ph.D. in any field of Life Sciences (incl. Veterinary Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.)
Desirable Experience : Candidate having experience for biomarker discovery and experience to develop aptamer/antibody-based sensors will be preferred.
Age : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
Fellowship amount : Rs. 47,000 + 24 % HRA as per the DST guidelines.
