Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013 from its transit campus at Mohali, Punjab.
Post : Research Associate-I
Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the industrial project funded by ‘BPCL, at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project : “Development of single catalytic system for photocatalytic hydrogen production and thermal CO2 conversion”
Principal Investigator : Prof. Kamalakannan Kailasam, Scientist-F
Essential Qualifications : Ph.D / MD / MS / MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc / M.Pharm / ME / M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
Desirable Experience : Experience in synthesis of nanomaterials especially porous organic polymers and handled analytical techniques regarding photocatalytic water splitting and CO2 conversion will be preferred
Age limit : Must not be over 35 years as on 12th July, 2023, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Fellowship : Rs. 47,000/- (pm) + HRA as applicable
Duration : Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis, renewable after one year subjected to satisfactory performance till the project end and availability of funds. The position is co-terminus with the project.
