Unlike postgraduate institutes, which lack core departments like anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, general medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, etc., the new AIIMS will have these departments as well as superspecialty departments like neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, urology, endocrinology etc. . Accident and Emergency, Biostatistics, Medical Engineering, Hospital Administration, Genetics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Telemedicine, Clinical Epidemiology and Medical Education Cell etc.

Scientist I (Non-Medical)
Qualification : Essential : 1st class Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University with 2 years of experience in related field Or 2nd class Master’s degree with Ph.D in relevant subject from a recognized University Or BDS / B.V.Sc / M.Sc. Nursing degree with two years experience
Desirable : Research experience (one year) in field of emergency care or Qualitative research experience in relevant field will be given priority.
Age limit : 35 Years
Salary : As per ICMR Scientist I Rs. 62,400/ monthly
Duration : Initially for 1 year and will be extended for 3 years based on satisfactory work performance
Consultant (Non-Medical / Biostatistician)
Qualification : Essential: Professional having M.Sc. (Biostatistics) / B.Tech / M.Tech / MBBS qualifications in relevant subject with five years of R & D experience
Desirable : At least 2-3 years of research experience (Biostatistician) after Master’s degree
Age limit : 70 Years
Salary : As per ICMR Consultant Rs. 70,000/ monthly
Duration : Initially for 1 year and will be extended for 3 years based on satisfactory work performance
