Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute (CSRTI), Mysore, the pioneer research institution in the field of tropical sericulture, was established at Chennapattna in 1961 under the administrative control of Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India for the over all development of silk industry in the country. During the course of development the Institute was shifted to Mysore the princely city in the year 1963.
Post : Project Assistant
Applications are invited by the undersigned from the eligible candidates for ONE post of PROJECT ASSISTANT (PA), in the following research project sponsored by Central Silk Board, Government of India, in this laboratory.
Title of the project : “Value addition of Cellulose and Chitin Isolated from Sericulture Waste for Advanced Packaging Applications” (Project Code: BPS-01028-CN)
Tenure of the project : May 2022 - April 2024 or completion of project whichever is earlier
Essential Qualifications : First class [equivalent to 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)] M. Sc in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Sericulture / Botany / Zoology
Desirable qualifications : Knowledge in isolation of bioactive compounds
Emoluments : Rs. 15,000 per month.
Eligible candidates may appear for a Walk-in-Interview at the time and venue given below with biodata, a passport size photograph, originals and one copy each of educational qualifications from SSLC, PUC/Higher secondary, BSc, MSc, etc proof of date of birth, experience certificate and caste certificate for SC/ST candidates, along with valid e-mail Id and telephone/mobile numbers and contact details.
