Originally established by the Government of Kerala as an advanced centre for medical specialties, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology SCTIMST metamorphosed into an Institution of National Importance with the status of a University in 1980 under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India by an Act of Parliament. The joint culture of medicine and technology that the Institute pioneered more than three decades ago has come of age and gained unprecedented acceptance in India. For ICMR Funded Project entitled “Role of connexions in cardiac fibroblast phenotypic transformation and extra cellular matrix synthesis in cardiac diseases” (P-5395)
Qualification & Experience (Essential) : MSc Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology with at least one year of research experience in cell culture, molecular biology and western blotting technique from any research institution / university
Qualification & Experience (Desirable) : Experience in cell culture and molecular biology / histology
Maximum age limit as on 31.07.2022 : 35 Years
Consolidated remuneration : Rs. 16,000/- per month
Tenure of Appointment : Till 27.08.2022 or completion of the project, whichever is earlier
Brief job description : Cell culture of primary cells, molecular analysis of protein and gene expression using western blots and real time PCR, should participate in an invivo study in small animals and carry out immune histology analysis of samples, should perform analysis and compiling of data.

In case sufficient number of fully qualified candidates does not report, meritorious candidates with requisite qualification but less experience may also be considered at a lesser salary.
