Associate Scientist (28928)
Required Qualifications :
• M.Sc/M.Tech/M.Phil in Stem cell biology/Cell biology or any other related field.
• Extensive experience (2-6 years) in hESC/iPSCs derivation, handling, propagation, characterization, and their functional assays.
• Demonstrated ability in managing projects in a multi-disciplinary environment to lead cross-functional activities
• Excellent communication (both written and oral), time management, record keeping and data analysis skills

Technical skills :
• Candidate must have experience in reprogramming strategies (integrated Vs non-integrated vector based/ Small molecule Vs mRNA based) used in reprogramming mature cells into iPSCs.
• Broad experience with iPSCs derivation (feeder-based Vs feeder free), propagation, expansion, characterization and cryopreservation.
•  Experience at differentiation of iPSC lines into various lineages of cells.
• Good hands on experience at transfection/ transduction of immune and/or non-immune cells.
• Sound knowledge of microscopic imaging (Immunohistochemistry).
• Experience with flow cytometry is highly desirable, but not a prerequisite.
• Should be able to culture, expand, cryopreserve Mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) and/or Mouse bone marrow stromal cell lines as a part of day to day activities.
• Should be well verse flowcytometry based cell phenotyping
• Experience with Artificial Thymic Organoid culture (ATOC) is a plus, but is not a prerequisite.
• Previous experience of deriving iPSC lines from immune cells in an academic or industry setting is a plus.
• Must be well verse with aseptic techniques and good cell culture practices.
• Advanced computer proficiency including the use of spreadsheet and word processing software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, GRAPH PAD. 

Data Compilation skills :
• Computer proficiency including the use of spreadsheet and word processing software (such as Microsoft Word and Excel and Power point) and Image J or related software.
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS :
• Good work ethics with eye on detail.
• Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work with co‐workers professionally.
• General ability to thrive in a growing infrastructure and culture and think out of box approach when troubleshooting and problem solving.


Associate Scientist- Cell and Assay Biologist 1 (29685)
Job Purpose :
To be a part of the Assay Biology and Screening group and support various assay development activities.
Key Responsibilities:  
• To develop cell-based assays- optimization and assay validation in 96- and 384-well formats using different technologies
• Biochemical, Enzyme based assay development
• Screening of the compounds- small and large molecules.
• Data analysis, contemporaneous documentation and report preparation
• Interacting and presenting the data to the clients wherever needed
• Possess the knowledge and exposure to environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices
• Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.

Educational Qualification:
• M.Sc/M.Tech/M.Pharm in Biological Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Cell Biology
Technical/functional Skills:
• Experience with conducting assays in 96-well and/or 384-well formats
• Experience with screening compounds in the dose-response formats for determining the potency of the compounds.
• Experience in conducting TR-FRET, HTRF, Fluorescence Intensity, Alpha screen, Radioactive assays OR Luminesce based assay.
• Expertise and in-depth knowledge of mammalian cell culture, with primary cells (hepatocytes, nerve cells or stem cells) and cancer cell lines
• Experience in different cell based assays viz. cytotoxicity assays, cytokine release assays, qPCR, Western blots is required
• Experience with spheroid cultures and 3D models would be desirable
• Experience in Flow cytometry and immune-phenotyping would be desirable
• Ability to analyze and present data using GraphPad Prism; MS Excel, ppt and statistical tools
• Willingness and flexibility to work in cross functional teams across technical domains
• Ability to plan and execute work and perform multiple activities in parallel.


Experience:
• M.Sc/M.Tech or M.Pharm with 2 to 9 years of experience
