Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt, of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster (NCR BSC) located at Faridabad, and is designed with the mission to conduct innovative translational research to translate concepts into products to improve human health.

Project Associate-ll
No. of post : Two
Project : Evaluation of Rationally Designed Influenza Vaccines (ENDFLU)
Age Limit : 35 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience : Post Graduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences/M.V.Sc with two years of post qualification experience in academic or industry set up. Experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques and animal handling is essential.
Desirable Qualification & Experience : NET/GATE/DBT-BCLI qualified. Experience in immunogenicity and challenge studies in animals, molecular biology techniques. Preference will be given to if experience in animal handling or viruses.
Monthly Emoluments : i) Rs. 35,000/- +HRA Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR - UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions) ii) Rs.28000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Research Associate-I

Project : MOMI Biorepository local analysis - INDIA PI : Dr. Shinjini Bhatnagar
Age Limit : 35 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience : Ph.D. in Life Sciences or relevant branch from a recognized University. Desirable: Sound knowledge of maternal-fetal/placental biology. Experience and expertise in the methods of placental histopathological examination, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, and immunofluorescence are desirable. Knowledge of mammalian cells and aseptic techniques, including culture and maintenance of primary cells and cell lines. At least one publication as first author in a scientificjournal
Desirable Qualification & Experience : Isolate and establish trophoblast cell culture. Analysis of placental histopathology findings.
Monthly Emoluments : Rs 47,000 +HRA

Project : Inter-Institutional approach -interdisciplinary Group for Advanced Research on Birth outcomes -DBT India Initiative (GARBH-Ini Phase II) PI : Dr. Shinjini Bhatnagar

Project Scientist-I
No. of post : One
Age Limit : 35 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience : PhD in Life Sciences/ Analytical Chemistry/ Biochemistry from a recognized University. Desirable Experience Prior experience of performing mass spectrometry-based untargeted and targeted metabolomics. Familiarity with at least one of the common programming languages (Python, MATLAB, R etc.) Interpreting LC-MS-MS data in the context of metabolism and physiology with a minimum of one first author publication in a SCI journal.
Desirable Qualification & Experience : Enthusiatic to work closely with a multidisciplinary team. Work on -omics Data Science. Establish targeted mass spectrometery assays, its method development, validation, analysis using statistical tools and programming languages. Supervise research activity in the lab that handles clinical samples. Perform data analysis, interpretation, report preparation and presentation.
Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 56,000/-+HRA

Senior Project Associate
No. of post : One
Age Limit : 40 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience : i) Master’s Degree in Natural or Agriculture Sciences/ MVSc or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent and ii) Four years of post qualification experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services. OR Doctoral Degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/Phama or MS or MD from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification & Experience :
• Mentioned position is expected to facilitate coordination of the multi partner, multi-institution, consortia projects supported by the dept, in partnership.
• The candidate will assist the project manager & Senior management to liaison between the investigators of all the institute and the study site.
• Should have training, understanding and knowledge in broader areas of life science/Biotechnology.
• Should be comfortable with managing digital tools eg. Virtual meeting platforms, Trello, monitoring dashboard etc.
• Keep track of project activities and manage consolidation of scheduled updates on objectives and deliverables. Note drafting, budgeting, responses to the financial queries and preparation of Section order.
• Preparation of administrative and scientific reports; summarize the information. Facilitate communication among the consortium and with the monitoring cum Expert committee.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to learn quickly and efficiently.
• Create online module for monitoring and coordination activities.
• Handle the documentation of ethics committee (submission, notification, approval etc.) Perform ERP activities (process indent, tender, bill entry) Stenographic/secretarial work of senior officers.
• Should have management skills: proficient in coordination or liaisoning and organising meeting.
• Should be able to handle office correspondence in an efficient manner
• Maintenance of records, files, appointments, liaison work, liaison with administration section.

Project Associate II

Minimum Qualification and Experience : Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognised University with minimum two years of post qualification research experience. Desirable Qualification/ Experience Research experience in molecular biology and biochemistry is essential.
Desirable Qualification & Experience :
Candidates are expected to be well-trained in managing and working in research facility using human clinical samples. Prior experience in microscopy, molecular biology techniques and working with model organisms would be preferred Research work would involve cell culture (primary and cell lines) biochemical methods such as western blotting, ELISA, molecular methods like cloning and RT-PCR.

Position-1
• Candidates are expected to be well-trained in managing and working in research facility using human clinical samples.
• Prior experience in microscopy, molecular biology techniques and working with model organisms would be preferred
• Research work would involve cell culture, biochemical methods such as western blotting, ELISA, molecular methods like cloning and RT- PCR
Position-2
• In line with the requirement of the current project, experience and understanding in the area of bacterial genetics, genomics, recombinant DNA technology and computational language is desirable.
Monthly Emoluments : i) Rs. 31,000/- +HRA Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR - UGC NET including lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Department and their agencies and institutions) ii) Rs.25000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. These are short-term positions and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
2. All educational, professional and technical qualification should be from a recognized Board/University.
3. The experience requirement specified above shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post.
4. Closing date of online application will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, essential qualification etc.
5. The age limit, qualification, experience and other requirements may be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority, in case of candidates who are otherwise suitable. In case candidates are not found suitable for the posts notified, they can be offered lower post / lower emoluments on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
6. Age and other relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates: 1. By five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities. 2. By three years for candidates belonging to OBC communities. 3. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) falling under the following categories : (i) UR - ten years, ii) OBC - 13 years (iii) SC/ST - 15 4. Age is relaxable for Central Government servants up to five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government, from time-to-time. 5. There is no upper age limit for the Institute employees who are treated as departmental candidates.

D) Step 4: Submission of application form

v) Candidates must ensure that he / she fulfils all the eligibility criteria as stipulated in the advertisement. If it is found that he / she does not fulfil the stipulated criteria during the recruitment process, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled. If the same is noticed after the appointment, the candidate will be terminated following due process.
