Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), an Institution of national importance established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu.
Post : Project-SRF Position
Title of Project : "Establishing the mechanism of action of Bg_9562, the broad spectrum antifungal protein”
Duration : Upto March 2021
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology with minimum 60 % marks and minimum two years of research experience in a research laboratory. Candidate should have qualified any national level JRF/SRF eligibility test such as NET, DBT-JRF, GATE, etc. Practical knowledge of protein purification, biochemical assays, X-ray protein crystallography is essential. Demonstrated productivity in the form of peer-reviewed publications in international journals is essential.
Desirable : Experience in molecular biology and microbiology techniques
Principal investigator : Dr. Deepti Jain, Associate Professor.
Fellowship : Rs. 35,000/- consolidated
