The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963.

Applications are invited for one post of Senior Research fellow in the DST-SERB funded project entitled “Identification of Potential Epigenetic Biomarkers for Detection and Diagnosis of Primary Hyperparathyroidism” under Dr, Sanjay Kumar Bhadada, Professor, department of Endocrinology, PGIMER Chandigarh.
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. in Life Sciences subjects from recognized university / institute With minimum two years of research experience

• NET qualified candidate
• At least one co-authored publication in SCOPUS indexed journal
Age : Not above 32 years (relaxation according govt, rules)
Remuneration : As per DST OM dated 30.01.2019
