Opportunity for M.Pharm, M.Sc as Research Associate at NICED

NICED moved from the rented premises at No. 3 Kyd Street to its own establishment at P-33, C.I.T. Road, Scheme XM, Beliaghata, Kolkata 700010, adjacent to the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The unique feature of this Institute is that it conducts basic research and applied clinical and epidemiological research on diarrhoeal diseases under the same roof. This Institute has its basic science set up with well equipped, modern technological facilities in different disciplines such as bacteriology, virology, parasitology, biochemistry, pathophysiology, molecular biology, electron microscopy, immunology and biochemistry.

Post : Research Associate-I

The following post is to be filled up on purely temporary basis under the project entitled “A novel diagnostic tool to aid vaccine evaluation and surveillance of enterotoxigenic E. coli and Shigella” funded by JHU. The selected candidate will work under Dr. Shnata Dutta, Director and Dr. Asish K. Mukhopadhyay’ of this Institute till December 31, 2020

Qualification & Experiences :
Essential: - Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSC / M.Pharm / ME / M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. . .
Desirable :- 1. Doctoral thesis on basic or disease-related Research. 2. Hand-on expertise on Real time PCR.

Consolidated Stipend : Rs. 47,000/- p.m. + HRA as per ICMR Rules

Age : Not Exceeding 40 years

• The post is for External sponsored project undertaken by the Institute/Principal Investigator and no claim in future for employment under the ICMR / Institute shall be tenable.
• Appointment will be on a Contractual Basis.
• If the performance of the appointee is not satisfactory, appointment can be terminated in any time without any notice.
• Age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Govt. of India Rules.
